Online Book of Condolence opened for Jack Charlton by the FAI. The FAI have opened an online Book of Condolence for the late Jack Charlton who passed away on Friday. The virtual service will allow fans of the sporting hero to pay their respects and express their sympathies to the family. The book will remain open until 27 July, and it will then be shared with Charlton's family.
A second GAA club has had to suspend activity due to Covid-19. A second GAA club has been forced to suspend all activity following a member testing positive for Covid-19. The Cork club, Glanworth, confirmed that a player had tested positive, and it comes after Dublin club Man O'War had to release a similar statement. Glanworth have announced that all activity will be suspended until health officials carry out full close contact assessment and testing.
Lewis Hamilton wins Styrian Grand Prix and makes a statement on the podium. Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton took home the top prize at the Styrian Grand Prix and showed his commitment to fighting racism on the podium. The driver who recorded his first win of the year gave the black power salute in line with the ongoing black lives matter movement which has seen protests occur across the world. Hamilton led the race from pole position, and his Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas came in second place.
