Manchester City's European ban overturned and fine cut by €20 million. Premier League giants Manchester City have seen their European ban overturned by the CAS, and their fine decreased from €30 million to €10 million. City had been suspended from playing in European tournaments after UEFA accused them of breaching their Financial Fair Play rules. Liverpool and Chelsea managers Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho have condemned the decision to overturn the ruling saying that it's not good for football.
FAI to use streaming platform to showcase remaining League of Ireland fixtures. The FAI are planning to use a streaming service, which also provide GAAGO, to showcase the remaining fixtures in the League of Ireland competition. The LOIGO platform will cost €55 for those based in Ireland, and €69 for oversees viewers. It will show the 68 league games that remain, along with some FAI Cup matches.
Six Nations offer cut in half by CVC after pandemic stalled deal. CVC has cut its offer to the Six Nations in half from €330 million before the pandemic to €165 million now. The private equity firm are looking to purchase a 14.5% share in the rugby organisation and had started negotiations earlier this year which were then suspended due to coronavirus.
