Jon Rahm wins Memorial and overtakes McIlroy for world number one spot. Spaniard Jon Rahm claimed victory at the Memorial golf Tournament, despite a penalty and signs of nerves. It is the 25-year-old's fourth PGA Tour win and it sees him overtake Rory McIlroy for the number one spot in the world. Rahm finished 9 under par and was followed by Ryan Palmer in second place who finished 6 under par.

An Post and Royal Mail are collaborating with the new postmark for the first time ever, as Charlton had a great impact on sport in both countries. He died earlier this month sparking nostalgia over his World Cup victory with England, and his managerial role at the tournament with Ireland.
Lionel Messi secures La Liga's Golden Boot for the seventh time. Lionel Messi has once again finished a La Liga season as the competition's top scorer with 25 goals. The Barcelona star secured the award in a 5-0 win over Alaves in which he scored twice. It is a record seventh time that the Argentinian has won the 'Pichichi Trophy'.
