Mike Tyson making boxing comeback against Roy Jones Jr. Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is making his return to boxing at age 54, taking on Roy Jones JR in an exhibition match. Jones Jr is an ex-four-weight world champion, who is 51 and has continued to fight consistently into his 50s. The fight will take place on 12 September in Los Angeles.
LOI clubs will take a knee in support of Black Lives Matter movement. It has been confirmed by the Professional Footballers' Association of Ireland that League of Ireland players will be taking a knee before games to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement. This follows professional football clubs around the world undertaking this procedure before kick-off, as tensions regarding racial inequality rose with the tragic death of George Floyd in the US. The league is set to resume on 31 July, and the players will take a knee for eight games.
Ulster GAA allowing crowds of up to 400 at games between the 'Six Counties'. Ulster GAA has confirmed that crowds of up to 400 people will be permitted at games between the six counties in Northern Ireland. At stadiums with viewing access on all four sides of the pitch, 400 people will be allowed providing that social distancing guidelines are followed, while in any other grounds the number will be limited to 250. In the Republic, a 200-person limit at outdoor events is in place.
